Anyone watch the Steelers-Packers game? It wasn’t the prettiest game in the world, and really could’ve gone either way. The Steelers are definitely a different team without Big Ben in the lineup. Of course, Charlie Batch did a decent job at the helm and I know the coaches weren’t about to give him the opportunity to really screw things up….
Favre played a good game as well, He definitely makes the most of the talent that surrounds him. Only one of the turnovers was really his fault. It’s really sad to know this is Favre’s last year and seeing the way it’s turning out. I have the utmost respect for a guy like him that comes to work every week and leaves his heart and soul on the field. You can definitely see the frustration on his face. Maybe they can put a few more wins on the board before the season ends….

A few? Hell, one would be a 100% improvement (how, I lie with those stats). Well, Batch dispatched the Packers a few years ago when he was with the Lions on MNF. But the Packers have one more win then I do for my fantasy football team. Sigh… and then there are the Vols… ugh. And Furman lost this weekend. Virginia is either unstoppable (e.g. FSU) or a High School Team (e.g. UNC) but they won against, uh-um, Temple over the weekend.
It’s a good thing that they (The Steelers) had their transition game against the Packers, else it may have been a little uglier. SO tonight I need Peyton Manning to give it to Rhodes for about 200 yards with NO passes to Marvin Harrison… TDs to Wayne are OK and I might win Fantasy this week.

Terry,
How did your fantasy team do? I actually scored more this past week than I have all season! Heard about Furman, but Coastal is now ranked number 9… not bad for a 3-year football program.
Anyway, found out Batch will be starting aginst Cleveland. Hope our D can hold up for one more week.
