I’ve been trying to figure out for quite some time on which Content Management System I wanted to use for the parent site. Lately, I have been playing around with Joomla, which was a snap to install, but after that, seemed a little less intuitive. I think over the weekend, I’ll be giving Drupal a whirl. I downloaded other CMSes some months back, but haven’t been able to really settle on one.
I haven’t ruled Joomla out by any means, but I’m just trying to get a handle on what I really want the site to be. If any of you readers out there(all 3 of you) have any experience with CMSes, please feel free to chime in. I run on a linux host and use MySQL for a DB. I also prefer an open source CMS, but am not against an easy-to-use commercial product.

Actually you do have experience with a couple. WordPress is a CMS for blogs… I’m assuming Movable Type is the same. Drupal and Joomla just have more features to cover any type of website including personal, commercial, forums, etc.
So basically, A CMS is a control panel to let you add, edit, and design the content and look and feel of your site.
