I was able to fix the comment enumeration problem by updating to the latest release of Spam Karma2. While I was at it, I went ahead and upgraded to the latest Ultimate Tag Warrior which came with a complete set of instructions on how to create a dedicated page for a Tag Cloud Archive. You can see what it looks like by clicking the the Archive link in the horizontal menu above or through the Pages heading in the sidebar.

I’m seriously considering changing themes. While I like this theme, I’m trying to figure out a decent theme that I can integrate with the proposed rest of the site… That is, if I ever get to working on it. I read an article today that would bridge SMF forums with WordPress. Seems pretty interesting, but to be honest, I’m not getting much feedback from my target readers.(Except for Terry… Thank God for you, my friend!)

Anyway, I was hoping that by integrating forum software, that it could be used for planning family events or discussion on the proposed family tree project. Not that this site has any sized reading base, but just planning for the future…

I know first hand how precious comments can be. Some people like to and some people… some like Mounds, some don’t

I think the forum software would be pretty nice. Especially if fam members were having get togethers or when Melanie was on a whirlwind tour, or something like that, it could (in theory) be alot more efficient then trying to do it the old fashioned way.

Case in Point Oct20-22 is Furman’s Homecoming. So We are going to go do that, but they we are going to go see Jay and Katrina… so the forum would be a good outlet for others to see what happening and maybe even joining.

Also, if other family members had a website/blog, that would also be a good way to market those. To my knowledge you and I are the only ones with blogs/websites… but what does this white boy know?

Thanks for the head up on SK2, I will go see if there’s an update I need…

My thoughts are in-line with yours when it comes to the forums. It has the potential to be very useful, but I’m not sure how much the rest of the family will use it. I know Mel tells me all the time how internet indifferent she is. And I don’t really know how internet active my extended family is. On the other hand, I think Amy’s side of the family would like it as they are always planning Coats family reunions or X-mas get-togethers and such.

Oh.. did I forget to post about Coastal Carolina’s measly 3-year-old football program defeating the mighty Paladins last week? I’ll have to get right on that!
