Today is the Winter Solstice, which represents the shortest day of the year. That is, unless today is also the last day of work before your Christmas Vacation. If that is the case, then today could possibly be the longest day of your life… Or at least that is my experience so far.
It is an unwritten rule at my workplace that no major changes should be performed the week before Christmas. So instead, I have been organizing and finishing up documentation for some recently finished projects. I have cleaned out my inbox and archived old emails. And I have laid the preliminary plans for some projects slated to start after Jan 1st. So – by around noon, I’m twiddling my thumbs awaiting 5:00. I have checked my clock 5 time since beginning this article. It’s like time has stopped moving… sombody please… please… wind the global clock!

    Sounds like the space-time continuum is in limbo. See if you can get in touch with Captains Kirk and Piquard — I think they have experience with kicking cosmic gas.

    @Rusty,
    Heh… but cosmic gas is something completely unrelated… I expect Jay could probably help with that!
