The last thing you want during a Southern summer is to have problems with your air conditioner. The other day, Amy woke me up to show me a slowly expanding wet spot on our ceiling. Realizing that the position of the wet area was close to the A/C unit, I ran upstairs to see what was happening. Sure enough, the temperature was drastically warmer upstairs.

Apparently the outside unit for the upstairs had frozen up(suspect a freon leak), and the condensation on the internal unit had overflowed the drip tray beneath it. I had to borrow a shop vac from next door to get all of the water out of the tray. While I was able to stop any further damage, by the time I was done, the slowly expanding wet spot was quite sizeable. I don’t know what we can do to repair it. Maybe just a coat of paint will do the trick….
