Site Upgrade Part Deux

Well, That’s what I get for being so slack I guess. No new posts since September, so I get punished by needing to upgrade mysql AND Wordpress?!? I guess I better get on the ball to at least make all this hard work worth my while. Well, I can’t say it was fun, but at least ‘Die Hard’ was on and made the whole process a little more tolerable.

So it’s been quite a bit since my last post… so what did I miss?

My Anniversary was this past Friday, but I plan to post about it tomorrow.

Another Coats Christmas Celebration has come and gone…. This one seemed much quicker than the ones previous. It was really great being able to see everyone together like that. I didn’t do an actual head count – I’m sure somebody there did, but I am estimating 26-27 people attended this year’s festivities… give or take a couple. That’s an awful lot of bodies in one place!

Anyhoo… I rushed to get the pix imported into picasa and up on the web. I excluded the awful blurry pix and I tried to go thru each of the ones and correct the red-eye stuff, but some of the pix still could be cropped better, and touched up a bit. But to appease the largest amount of people, I decided to just upload the rest of them, and let you guys grab whichever ones you want, and edit to your hearts’ content!

Friday Nite Teaser

I couldn’t believe it when I passed by the corner convenience store earlier today…. gas was $1.49 per gallon! Didn’t think I’d ever see gas go back under a buck-fifty…

Tomorrow is my final Christmas Cantata practice before Sunday’s performance at Buck Creek Baptist… No – that isn’t my church. This year we had a joint venture between the Loris UMC and Buck Creek Baptist. The UMC performance was last weekend – yup… while I was cruising in the Bahamas. Soooo… if anyone is in the Buck Creek vicinity on Sunday around 11AM… stop by. This year’s music is very nice!

Tomorrow is also The Coats Christmas Celebration(or C3, as I like to call it). I look forward to this get-together every year… and no – I’m not saying that just because some of them happen by this blog every once in a while. Good times… good people… Hopefully, I’ll be able to snap some decent photos.

Updated Christmas List is Out

OK… better late than never I guess. The kids’ Christmas Wish List has been updated for 2008. I’ll keep a link on the Pages section of the sidebar until after the end of the holiday season. I’d like to point out that this list is merely a guide for those needing a little nudge in the right direction. Other notables right now that didn’t make the list but should have:
Indiana Jones stuff
Batman, X-men, Fantastic Four, etc… If it is a Superhero or a transforming robot… It’s a winner!
Gift cards for Wal-mart, Target, or Best Buy always are appreciated.

I have finally had a chance to upload the Coats and Palomares Holiday pictures up to PicasaWeb. These pictures are in very raw form as I have not cropped or edited any of them. It may take some time before I get my local copies edited and put up there, but feel free to browse the pix and download the ones you like and/or edit them on your own. BTW, I absolutely love the picture I chose for the Album cover. I don’t get to brag on the two loveliest ladies in my life very much, but that picture may be my all-time favorite!

Well, It’s just after Midnight and I have just finished helping Santa get the presents out and organized for the kids. I know, I know… there are only 5 days left(ooh – today is “Five Golden Rings Day!), but I’m slack, ok?

Anyway, A few days back, a couple of my co-workers(Thanks Jamie and Philip!) sent me a link to this wonderfully entertaining video of a men’s a cappella group called Straight, No Chaser singing The 12 Days of Christmas. I figured that since I was so into the Christmas spirit and truly love a capella harmonies, that I’d share with you guys as well. Enjoy!
