Water Heater sets itself on fire; then puts itself out.

Invasion!!! Termites’ top two meals: Wood and Money.

Holy Smokes!!! After decades of being hooked, David and Amy set down the Cigs for good.

It may not sound like much, but it was enough to keep us busy for the whole month… and then some. By the way… did I mention that Victoria and Justin got engaged?

No, I haven’t quit officially, but both Amy and I are trying our best to give this a shot cold-turkey. So far – no luck. We are able to get those smoking cessation shots through my work… and it may come to that. But for now, we’re both just trying to cut down gradually so that either:

A) We both just set them down permanently

B) we cut down enough that the dependency is less and it is easier when we do take the shots

C) There is no C

Anyway, even cutting down is a pain in the rear. I have never considered myself to be dependent on anything, but I must admit, cigarettes have me wrapped around their little filters…

Something tells me that I won’t be a very pleasant person for a while…..

Man, I truly hate being sick. As normal, some bug passed through my family about a week ago and my name was the last one on its hit list. So while everyone is out enjoying a very pretty day, I’m stuck indoors with nothing on TV and a persistent phlegm-induced cough.

Fun, right?

Well, I figured that since, I’m stuck here, I had to find something to keep my hands busy so I wouldn’t light up. The last thing you want to do when you have really bad chest congestion is have a cigarette. Yeah, nasty habit, I know. I’m gonna try to give them up(again) sometime soon, but I had decided that I would lose some weight first and then tackle kicking the habit. Of course, the holiday season really works against the whole weight-loss thing…
